Prongs
Inspired by Harry Potter’s patronus. ‘Prongs’ is an iconic Red Stag, from near our home in Glenborrodale, Scotland.
The Stag represents Harry’s father, James, whose Animagus form was also a Stag and known as Prongs.
Rupert
Inspired by Ron Weasley’s Patronus, Rupert is a Jack Russel. The original dog I painted, is known for his Instagram account. You can find him on @benjijackrussell.
I decided to call him Rupert, after Rupert Grint who played Ron in the Harry Potter films.
Hermy
Inspired by Hermione Granger’s patronus. Hermy is an Otter from Strontian in Ardnamurchan, Scotland. These smart creatures are incredibly intelligent, just like Hermione herself.
Diehard Potter fans (like myself), will know the name reference. It is what Hagrid’s half-brother, the giant named Grawp, calls Hermione.
Luna
Inspired by Luna Lovegood’s patronus. Luna is a Hare from Castle Douglas in Scotland. The Hare is known for its unique behaviour and association with moonlight cycles, reflecting Luna’s quirky personality and
ethereal, dreamy nature.
Because of the Hare’s connection to the Moon, I decided I had to call her Luna.
